Excitement grows as East Coast Pride announces its plans for the first-ever Pride Street Main Stage on Grand Parade in Skegness.

East Coast Pride is thrilled to announce its full line-up of zones for its inaugural Pride in Skegness, all of which are free of charge for all. This year, the East Coast Pride Main Stage will take place on Grand Parade in Skegness, which will be transformed into Pride Street on Saturday, September 7.

When the big day arrives, you will find five zones across Skegness. Whether it`s the Pride Street Main Stage or a visit to the Blue Light Zone on your way for an ice cream, you can be assured that your visit to East Coast Pride will be filled with joy, celebration and love.

Pride Street Stage sponsored by Coastal Caravan Breaks - Located on Grand Parade between the Clock Tower and McDonald's.

Welcome to the Pride Street Main Stage, the heart of East Coast Pride. Showcasing a glittering array of  family-friendly entertainment between 12 pm and 8 pm. The stage will come alive with an array of international professional acts, local talent, and community groups, culminating in a dazzling finale.

Family & Wellbeing Zone hosted by The Wellbeing Hub - Located in Tower Gardens.

This zone will be tailored for younger families or those wishing to visit our Wellbeing Hub on the day. In the Family Zone, you will  discover activities including circus skills and your favourite holiday characters from along the coast to our Pride Unicorn.

The Wellbeing Zone is our hub where you will have the opportunity to meet some community support and information services.

Blue Light Zone hosted with RNLI Skegness - Located around the RNLI Lifeboat Station on Tower Esplanade.

Celebrate the amazing work our emergency services and armed forces do. And find out about their inclusivity and employment opportunities.

Reflection & Heritage Zone - Located in Compass Gardens

Take a moment to sit and reflect in a quieter area just off Pride Street to explore the history of pride in a specially created exhibit just for East Coast Pride, showcasing how far the community has come and looking ahead to the bright future.

Our memory and wish arch will be located in this zone. Whether you want to remember someone who is looking down on you and include them on this special day or share a wish with the world, our volunteers will be on hand to help you add it to our arch.

Hildreds Zone - Located outside the Lumley Road side of the Hildreds Centre, starting from 9 am.

Start your day at East Coast Pride at the Hidreds Zone, where you can find family fun and any info you may need for the exciting day ahead! This will be an opportunity to get ready for the opening of the Pride Street Stage and have some fun with Pride Partner, The Hildreds Centre. After 12 pm, the zone will become an Information Hub for the duration of the event.

East Coast Pride will announce the full artist lineup of the Pride Street Stage in the coming months, with a full line-up published before the summer season.

Matt Dickinson, Volunteer Pride Producer for East Coast Pride, shared his excitement about the announcement: 'I cannot actually believe we can finally let everyone know the amazing plans we have been working so hard on for months! East Coast Pride embodies the pulse of inclusivity, transforming Skegness into a canvas of celebration. Each zone, from the dynamic Pride Street Stage to the tranquil Reflection & Heritage Zone, showcases the strength and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

‘This event has been a labour of love for all involved and is a vibrant declaration of unity and love, marking a significant step forward for equality on the East Coast. Let's revel in this day of joy; every moment is a testament to the power of coming together. Here's to making history and fostering a world of unconditional acceptance.'

East Coast Pride is more than just an event; it's a beacon of hope and inclusivity for the LGBTQIA+ community in Lincolnshire and the surrounding East Coast areas. Like the East Lincolnshire Coastline, at the heart of East Coast Pride is family, no matter what family means to you.

East Coast Pride wishes to thank all the businesses, including Coastal Caravan Breaks, Anglian Water, Mablethorpe Ice Cream Company, The Hildreds Centre, and The Hive Skegness (our Principal Partner), as well as many other local and national businesses, including Haven Skegness, Blue Anchor Leisure, and Skegness Pier. Without their support, this historic event would not be possible.
